A PUBLIC exhibition for a proposed development of potentially 800 new homes is set to take place in Thornbury this afternoon.

In a submission to an earlier draft of the West of England Joint Spatial Plan, developer Barwood Land said that the Pickedmoor development could include as many as 700-800 homes.

Material released to promote the exhibition suggesting that the development could also include a primary school, space for a medical centre, public open space or other community uses.

The event will run from 2pm to 7pm at Thornbury Methodist Church, with representatives from Barwood Land and its consultant team being in attendance to answer questions and to gather comments and suggestions.

Following the consultation event, materials on display will be available from www.pickedmoor-consultation.co.uk.
