A SUSPECTED illegal worker was detained following a raid at an Indian restaurant in Chipping Sodbury last night.
The Tudor Raj restaurant on Rounceval Street was visited by immigration officers and police were on hand to assist, yesterday evening.
A man was detained on suspicion of breaching immigration rules.
Restaurant manager, Mr Hannan said: "They arrested a friend of mine who is visiting from South Africa.
"They believed he was working here, but he isn't.
"It was a routine check and the immigration team were very polite and helpful.
"The restaurant is open as usual."
