THE world's first quadruplets born by caesarean section celebrated their 70th birthday in Chipping Sodbury on Tuesday.
The babies, Bridget, Frances, Elizabeth and Jennifer Good made medical history following their emergency birth in 1948.
A holiday was declared at their home village Westerleigh to mark the day they first came home from Southmead Hospital.
Jennifer and Frances both live in Chipping Sodbury now, while Elizabeth lives in Andover.
Bridget sadly died after a brain haemorrhage in 1984.
The remaining quads met for their birthday this week.
"We've had a relaxing time, with some lovely meals, both out and at home," said Frances.
"We're going for a spa day in Bath too, later in the week, which we're really looking forward to."
