MP for Filton and Bradley Stoke, Jack Lopresti has made an offer to Prime Minister Theresa May.

Speaking at Prime Minister's Questions today (Wednesday, September 12) Mr Lopresti offered the PM the chance to come and open a new £40 million facility in his constituency.

In Filton, construction of a new tecnhology centre has been underway since 2016.

The new 'Airbus Wing Integration Centre' is a multi-million-pound project that will create an advanced development and testing centre for large structural parts involved in the manufacture of aircraft.

The facility has been specially designed and includes an innovative, highly-flexible and easily adaptable physical test environment.

Developers are hoping that the centre will form a proving ground for future technologies and new materials and techniques.

Jack Lopresti MP said at the session in Parliament: "The investment will secure hundreds of jobs and good quality apprenticeships for the future.

"Will the Prime Minister join me in thanking, and paying tribute to Airbus for their strong and enduring commitment to the UK?

Mrs May responded that she agreed with her MP about Airbus' commitment to the UK before stating that she would need to check her diary.
