TREVOR Hall - Labour’s candidate for next month’s by-election in Dursley - met Jeremy Corbyn this morning.
Mr Hall was introduced to the Labour leader in Bristol as he went into a meeting, and the pair had time for a quick chat.
"It was a real pleasure to meet Jeremy Corbyn this morning, and to chat about Dursley, Lister's and Forest Green Rovers.
"He wished me all the best for my election campaign."
Trevor, who has lived in Dursley and Cam all his life, formerly worked at Lister’s and Cam Mills.
He hopes to succeed Alison Hayward, who resigned last week because she is moving away from the area.
He said: “Alison will be a hard act to follow. I know how hard she worked for the town, and I know how much she’ll be missed, both as a councillor and as a friend. I wish her the very best for the future.”
