A CHIPPING Sodbury beautician is just catching her breath after a whirlwind couple of weeks.

Marie-Louise Coster, who runs a beauty salon All About Mi from her home in Hartley Close, also works as a freelance nail stylist.

She is well known in the industry and has worked at London Fashion Week for several seasons, where she has painted the nails of many top models.

Last month she returned to the event, where she was booked to work with a range of designers, including none other than Victoria Beckham.

“It was amazing, but exhausting,” she said.

“It was literally the stuff dreams are made of.”

“I worked on ten shows, two of which I was lead manicurist for and one of those was attended by Edward Enniful, the editor of British Vogue.

“Although I have been lead manicurist at Men’s London Fashion Week, this year this was the first time I have ever been lead manicurist at Ladies London Fashion Week.”

Being a lead manicurist means that Marie-Louise liaises with the fashion designer and his/her team to create a specific nail look and she then recruits a team to help her create that look on all of the models.

“This year is the tenth anniversary of Victoria Beckham’s fashion label and it was the first time she has shown at London Fashion Week,” said Marie-Louise.

“On the Sunday, she had her catwalk shows, but on the Monday, she held a presentation breakfast, which is the event that I was involved with.

“It was quite an intimate and exclusive affair at Annabel’s private members club in Mayfair.

“Two hundred clients and special guests were invited to see Victoria present her autumn/winter collection that is now available for sale in her Dover Street store, and a preview of some of the spring/summer collection that had been showcased on the catwalk the day before," she said.

“The nails we created were classic Victoria Beckham - clean, fresh, classy.

“It was a great presentation, the clothes and the bags - especially the bags - were gorgeous.

“Victoria’s team were great and the venue was brilliant. It was a great experience.”

After that, Marie-Louise headed off to Paris Fashion Week, but that's another story.
