FAMILIES in Cirencester are off on a half-term treat with community charity The Churn Project.

A coach full of young parents and their children will be spending the day at We the Curious, formerly known as @Bristol, packed with things to do and learn.

The trip will take place thanks to the support of two other organisations based in the town.

Dorothy Minnis Trust, part of Soroptimists International Cirencester & District and the Cirencester Science & Technology Society has jointly funded the trip.

SI Cirencester president Judith Wood said: “We have been pleased to support the Churn over many years. Providing outings like this is just one of the many ways they support women and families in our community and we’re pleased to help make this possible."

John Mulligan, chair of Cirencester Science & Technology Society said: “One of our objectives is to interest children and young people in science and this trip is an excellent opportunity to do that."
