CIRENCESTER favourites Ethemia are set to perform live in front of their home crowd at the Bingham Hall in the final home leg of their ‘Common Ground’ EP Tour on Friday, November 2.

This is a special ‘Home Town’ show, which features the crack session band of (bass guitar) Liam Tillyer, (cello and violin) Marion Fleetwood, (keys) and Andrew Butler, (percussion) Damon Sawyer, who is also the Producer and Musical Director.

This is a unique opportunity to hear a rare airing of Ethemia’s EP ‘Common Ground’ in a live format.

Assigned to Swindon’s Crescent Records label, Ethemia (Michaela Mott and Berny Poulton) have gained an enviable nationwide reputation as an accomplished pop/folk duo.

Their distinctive persona is characterised by well observed storytelling, haunting vocals, harmonies and catchy melodies underpinned by great guitar riffs with heartfelt live performances.

In recent years they have toured extensively throughout Europe and the UK and featured on many high profile radio stations as well as supporting a vast array of legendary artists including, The Strawbs, Curved Air, Loudon Wainwright III, Steeleye Span and John Otway and Wild Willy Barrett.

Support comes in the form of Daniel Billing and Roi Geyari

Daniel Billing is a Cirencester based singer song writer who blends storytelling with performance, layering themes from history, legend, politics and love.

A hybrid fusion of folk, bluegrass, rock and blues accurately defines his genre.

He with be joined on stage by Roi Geyari on guitar and vocals.

‘Home Town’ events are the brainchild of Andy Brown the well-known Cirencester musical Impresario (formerly of The Vaults).

It features a series of concerts at The Bingham Hall which showcases the very best of the local scene with the aim of establishing a new venue in the town that utilises the flexibility, ambiance and intimacy of the grand old building.

There will be a free commemorative goody bag containing Ethemia’s new EP for the first 40 arrivals.

Entry is £6 on the door, on the night only.

Doors open at 7pm and the show begins at 8pm. Licensed bar.
