This year's stunning autumn has been captured by members of Gloucestershire Camera Club in a series of wonderful photos.
Members of the paper's popular Facebook group have been posting their pictures showing an explosion of colour.
The vibrant scenes show our region transformed as nature responds to the change in temperature and leaves give a crunch under foot on woodland walks.
It's hoped that continued dry conditions will mean that the colours continue to be at their best for another few weeks.
A mild autumn could also prolong colour well into November, though a severe frost or storm can cut the show short.
Colour changes in tree leaves take place as the days become shorter and evening temperatures cool, with the green chlorophyll in the leaves starting to disappear, exposing yellow and orange hues.
Sunny weather concentrates the sugar leaves which speeds up the appearance of red hues.
