A fire started in Olveston last night is thought to have been started deliberately.
Crews were called to an area of open ground on Redhill Lane after straw bales were set alight.
Firefighters from Thornbury fire station attended the incident and used one high-pressure hose reel and a hay fork to extinguish the fire by spreading it over a large area.
Police officers and the land owner were also in attendance.
