THREE properties were evacuated in Kingswood on Saturday, following reports of the delivery of a suspicious package.
Residents in Wickwar Road alerted police on Saturday afternoon, and officers evacuated the house and the neighbouring properties.
A Gloucestershire Police spokeswoman said: "At 2.15pm on Saturday 27 October Gloucestershire Constabulary received a report of a possible suspicious package which had been delivered to an address in Kingswood, Wotton under Edge.
"As a precaution three properties were evacuated and officers from EOD (Explosive Ordnance Disposal) attended.
"On examination the package was found to be innocuous and no further action was required."
Residents were allowed back into their properties at about 4.45pm.
