Young musicians are coming together to play a charity concert in Thornbury.

The instrumentalists aged 11 to 18 will perform a selection of solo pieces and ensembles.

Local musician Michael Lunts, who performed in Thornbury in September when he told the story of Frederick Chopin and George Sand, has organised the group.

The concert will take place in the Cossham Hall at 4pm on Sunday, November 11.

Tickets include interval refreshments and cost £7.50 f or adults and £5 for children under 16.

They are available from the Town Hall or by phoning 01454 412272.

Tea and cakes will follow the performance and all proceeds will go towards the Armstrong Hall Redevelopment Project.
