The roof of a double decker bus was ripped off when attempting to drive under a railway bridge outside Bristol Parkway station.
Luckily, there were no passengers on board when the bus struck the Hatchet Lane bridge just before 3.30pm on Friday.
One crew from Patchway fire station attended the incident.
Firefighters made the scene safe and a structural engineer confirmed there was no damage to the bridge.
Police were in attendance to help with the road closure whilst the incident was cleared.
The bus was operated by Berkeley-based Applegates Coaches, who have been approached for comment.
