Emergency exercise
A MAJOR multi-agency emergency exercise will be taking place in Berkeley on Saturday.
The power station site will be hosting the event, which will begin at around 11am.
Some loud noises and commotion will be heard coming from the site – this is due to the nature of the exercise scenario.
Significant numbers of emergency services personnel will be present on the site throughout the day, with representation from the police, ambulance and fire services.
They will be coming through Berkeley but will only initiate ‘blue lights’ at the roundabout adjacent to site.
This will not affect access to and from Berkeley.
The exercise is due to complete by 3pm.
