A GARDENING volunteer taskforce has been set up in Cam to help tackle overgrown or neglected spaces and to brighten up the area with fresh planting.
Blooming Cam aims to make Cam look better with planting, weeding, cutting back and clearing.
Its first brief was to improve the garden area around the war memorial at the bottom of Cam Pitch.
Twenty-one sacks of green waste, as well as plenty of litter, was cleared on that first meet up.
Blooming Cam’s next aim is to plant two sacks of daffodil bulbs, donated by Cam Parish Council and Dursley Pet Shop, around the area.
But more volunteers are needed to join the group.
If anyone is interested, please contact Jo Lewis at Cam Parish Council on 01453 548884.
