A Chipping Sodbury care provider has been rated 'outstanding' in a recent inspection.

Bluebird Care South Gloucestershire celebrated its fifth birthday by receiving the improved rating from the Care Quality Commission (CQC).

The rating was awarded following a two-day inspection in August.

Bluebird provides care and support to 100 people in the local community. They were rated 'good' at their last inspection in January 2016.

The CQC’s report highlighted the service was exceptionally 'caring and responsive'.

It also stated that care staff knew the importance of developing good relationships with the people they looked after, and that feedback received from relatives was overwhelmingly positive.”

Jack Whitfield, Director of Bluebird Care South Gloucestershire, said: “We are so excited to be celebrating our fifth birthday here at Bluebird Care South Gloucestershire.

"The ‘outstanding’ overall rating we have been given by CQC has come at such a special time and we are absolutely delighted.

"It is an achievement for the whole team and amazing recognition for the dedication and care they show to the people who entrust us to provide them with our services.

“We have placed person-centred care at the heart of what we do since launching five years ago and always want to consider the wishes and needs of every single customer.

"It is brilliant to hear from customers and their families in the report and hear about just how happy they are.

“We will continue to work every day to ensure everyone we support receives the exceptional care they deserve.”
