A CRASH was blocking the A338 Spur Road in the roadworks area.
The collision, which involved two vehicles, happened southbound at Blackwater Junction this afternoon.
Lane two was blocked, and a recovery truck was called to clear the vehicles from the scene.
The carriageway was closed while the vehicles were loaded onto the recovery truck.
The road was re-opened by approximately 3pm.
