WARRINGTON primary schools have remembered former students who died in the First and Second World Wars.
Oakwood Avenue Primary School in Oakwood Avenue and Christ Church Primary School in Station Road came together for a service dedicated to soldiers who attended their schools.
On Friday, year five and six pupils walked to the Padgate war memorial located in Bennett's Recreation Ground, lead by veterans of the armed forces dressed in First World War soldier and nurse uniforms.
The event was a accumulation of research the children had carried out to commemorate the centenary of the end of the First World War.
Oakwood Avenue laid wreaths in tribute to Harry Kenwright who died in the Second World War on April 2, 1945, while Christ Church dedicated their tributes to John Ratcliffe who died in the First World War on October 10, 1918.
