Dear Sirs,
What a magnificent turn out both inside and outside the Cathedral for the Remembrance Day centenary on Sunday 11th November 2018.
There must have been thousands of people outside the Cathedral during the service. Congratulations to the organisers for such a brilliant event, the ‘poppy fountain’ was wonderful as the thousands of poppy leaves floated in the autumn sunshine.
My maternal Grandfather was killed in WW1 and my paternal Grandfather was wounded at The Somme. My father was seriously wounded in WW2 so Remembrance Day has a special significance for me but it was so wonderful to see such a huge gathering outside the Cathedral.
So well done Worcester, you were magnificent!
Congratulations also to Cllr Adrian Gregson for the free events he organised at The Hive to commemorate the end of WW1.
