A RISING star sang her heart on Monday in the hope that she will reach the final of a hit CBBC talent show.

Seren aged 13 stood out from day one on Got What It Takes, and she hopes her hometown can help push her to the final.

“Being on Got What It Takes has been a dream come true for me,” she said.

“I hope people in Stroud watched the programme and want to give me their support.”

In the run up to the semi-finals, Seren sung at Uplands Primary School, as well as Whiteshill Primary School - she hopes to give younger children the motivation to follow their dreams.

This is particularly important to Seren as she has a form of cerebral palsy.

Because of this, she wants to be a role model for children who may feel a little bit different and may struggle to feel confident.

The show has given Seren an invaluable insight into the entertainment industry and has allowed her to work with a host of stars including Olly Murs and John Newman.

“I have worked really hard, learned so much and met all sorts of amazing people, “ added Seren.

“It would mean so much to me to be in the final and maybe even win the competition, I love singing.”

Seren’s semi-final took place on Monday at 5.25pm on CBBC - the public vote opened immediately after the programme ended and was open for 24 hours.

The public can still vote before 5.25pm!
