A 29 year old Kings Stanley man caught in possession of vile images of child abuse has avoided prison.
Robert Malin of Bath Road, Kings Stanley, admitted three counts of possessing indecent images and one count of possessing a prohibited image of a child on October 19, 2017.
Police executed a search warrant at Malin's home address last October and seized three devices, across which were found 666 indecent moving and still images of children being abused.
That included 134 of category A images - the most serious category of images of abuse.
Malin's lawyer said: "He is very much seeking to address his offending."
The judge imposed a three year community order which would require Malin to attend a sex offender treatment programme.
He warned that any breach of that order he would result in an 'immediate custodial sentence'.
The offender was ordered to sign the sex offender register for five years, and made subject to a sexual harm prevention order for the same duration.
