A Jack Russell is in danger of being put down after becoming too much for her disabled owner.

Andrew Amer may be forced to put down his nine-year-old companion after being unable to find a new home for her.

According to Andrew, Lottie is full of fun and affection, well trained and obedient and loves running around in the woods and snoozing on the sofa.

Andrew, from Minchinhampton, said: “I adopted Lottie and soon realised she would be too much for me.

"Although we bonded very quickly she found the transition difficult and was initially very nervous.

"She gets entangled on the lead which hurts my hands so I find it difficult to control her.

I employed an animal behaviouralist to see if I could keep her. This proved effective and she became much calmer.

"It will be difficult to let her go but I find her very tiring, she needs someone with more space and energy than I can give her”

If you can offer Lottie a home please contact Andrew on 07530 231499.

You will have the support of the animal behaviouralist for the next few months to help with the move.
