ONE of Dursley's banks has now closed, due to ‘fewer people using the branch’.

Barclays ceased trading at its Parsonage Street branch on November 16.

Customers were informed of the decision by post in August.

The letter read: “The decision to close a branch is never an easy one; however, we are finding that fewer customers are using this branch to do their everyday banking.

Following the closure, the town still has two banks, Lloyds and TSB, plus a branch of the Coventry Building Society.

Maddy Arkle‎ captured the moment the Barclays sign was taken down, and an older version of the bank's sign was revealed underneath.
