Lovers of the great outdoors are being encouraged to help look after woodland in Thornbury.

Volunteers are needed to undertake woodland and grassland management at Filnore Woods.

Duties will include coppicing, scything, path building, hedge laying and bramble clearing.

No experience is needed, just a willingness to work outdoors and learn new skills within a supportive team.

The site is very hilly so people with mobility problems would find it difficult.

Work mornings are held on the second Saturday and the fourth Wednesday of the month.
