A CARAVAN which was being used by a terminally ill man and his family to "get away and create memories" has been stolen.

It was taken from a field behind the Plough in Pilning, where it was being stored while the 64-year-old underwent treatment.

The caravan, a Bailey Pageant Bordeaux, was stolen on Sunday, November 25, just before 10.30pm.

The thieves were using a dark-coloured 4×4 vehicle.

Neighbourhood PC Ross Calderwood is investigating.

He said: “The family have been using the caravan to get away and create memories.

"This theft has been devastating for them.
