There are now temporary traffic lights in place on Sundridge Park after the road was re-opened this morning.
Essential maintenance work had been carried out on the road after it became littered in potholes.
South Gloucestershire Council gave the go ahead for complete resurfacing to start in late October.
The work was supposed to take place during the summer however the surface of the road was too warm and Bowling Hill in Chipping Sodbury took priority.
On Sundridge Park now, there is work being done to replace the speed bumps.
There had been concerns from residents about speed without the bumps in the road.
Two way traffic lights are in place by St Paul's Catholic School and Yate Academy.
