Christmas has came early for one shop in Cirencester who have been crowned winners of this year's Christmas Window competition.

Organised by Cirencester Chamber of Commerce, the competition saw businesses go all out in making their front window displays as seasonal as possible.

After the success of last year’s competition, residents were once again the judges, on the look out for the window that best captures their imagination and embraces all things festive.

The winner was announced at the Chamber's winter social event at New Brewery Arts.

Awarded the Peter Stringfellow Memorial Trophy this year was Jungle Boutique, who can proudly display it in their shop for the year.

Hilary Stewart, co-director of Jungle said: "We are absolutely thrilled to win.

"Annie Heyworth does the windows, she does a fantastic job and it's nice for her work to be acknowledged.

"She always goes that extra mile and we always get people who come in and compliment her displays."

Jungle previously won a similar competition back in the 1990's, and it was Annie again who created the display.

"We won the first one back in 1990 or 1991," Annie said.

"I haven't done every one since, I took a slight break in the middle but I have been doing it again for the past five years. I love doing the windows and its lovely to win the award."

Mark Blake Hair finished as runners up with The Fleece Hotel placing in third.

There was also a craft competition which was won by Clare Pywell of Plan-A-Planning with photographer Kay Ransom runner up.
