Pupils and staff at Rodmarton Primary School welcomed Cotswold MP Sir Geoffrey Clifton-Brown when he visited earlier this month.

Sir Geoffrey met with pupils, teachers, support staff and governors to learn more about the school and its achievements and to congratulate the school on its success.

The school, which has grown from just 31 pupils in September 2017 to almost 60 pupils on the current register, had to introduce a third class to its structure earlier this year due to its increasing numbers.

Head teacher Caroline Musty, who joined the school in January 2015 said: “We were delighted that Sir Geoffrey came to find out more about our fantastic little school and to see how we are thriving and numbers are increasing following our ‘Good’ rating by OFSTED in 2016.

“Rodmarton is a small and nurturing school.

"We are committed to a personal learning experience for all and we keep our class sizes smaller than many other local schools.

"It has been an exciting few years for Rodmarton School and we were thrilled to be able to share our achievements with Sir Geoffrey.”
