A South Gloucestershire sewing group has made donations to two charities following their exhibition.
Severn Valley Quilters hold exhibitions every two years at Thornbury Methodist Church Hall to showcase the work carried out by the group.
Group member Sheila Butler said: "Every exhibition we decide a charity we would like to donate some of the money we raise and this year it was St Peters Hospice and McMillan Nurses as we have lost some members to cancer in the last couple of years."
Representatives from the two charities were presented with cheques for £700 at a meeting at the Cossham Hall on December 12.
The group also makes items to help a variety of different people and recently donated 20 scenery quilts to New Siblands School.
In the past they have made syringe bags for cancer patients and next year are making mastectomy cushions.
The group is one of many who used to use Almondsbury Scout Hut for their meetings.
