The M4 has reopened after a crash between two HGVs.
The crash took place on the eastbound carriageway between junctions 23 and 22.
Fire crews from Avonmouth, Patchway and South Wales Fire and Rescue Service attended the scene of the accident.
A spokesperson for Avon Fire and Rescue Service said: "One male had self-rescued prior to our arrival.
"No casualties were trapped and the police and ambulance were also in attendance.
"Crews remained on scene to make the vehicles safe before handing the incident to police."
Highways England had warned drivers to expect delays as traffic is heavier on the road than normal due to roadworks on the M5.
