On Friday night, firefighters were called to reports of a fire at a barn in Mumbleys Lane, Thornbury.
Crews from Yate, Thornbury and Patchway Fire Stations attended the incident at around 19.50pm, with Avon and Somerset Police also in attendance.
The cause of the fire is yet to be determined as nearly three tones of hay went up in the three bay barn.
Avon Fire and Rescue Service confirmed that an investigation had been launched alongside Avon and Somerset Police.
The fire was allowed to burn through the night and the extent of the damage was revealed on Saturday morning.
