A MAN suffered facial injuries in an assault in a pub on New Year's Eve.
The police are now appealing for witnesses following the incident in Chipping Sodbury.
A spokesperson for Avon and Somerset Police said: "The incident happened at about 12.10am on January 1 at the Portcullis public house, Horse Street.
"The victim who was assaulted required medical treatment for a face injury.
"We believe the pub was full at the time of the incident and a number of people may have witnessed the incident.
"We’re keen to hear from anyone who was in the pub who may have useful information to help our enquiries."

A 26-year-old man has been arrested and released under investigation.
