A popular theatre school in Yate is celebrating after setting a date for their big move in venue.

Razzamataz has been running in Yate Leisure Centre for the last eight years, however it is now moving to be based in the ‘more suitable’ venue of Yate Academy just five minutes away on Sundridge Park.

The school, which recently had a change of owner, provides singing, dancing and drama classes for a number of children aged between 4-18.

It will now be relocating on Saturday, February 2, which will provide more children with the opportunity of performing.

The theatre school, which takes place on Saturdays, is run by Georgia Davies who is passionate about the performing arts.

“The pride and sense of achievement a child has from performing has a real positive effect on their confidence and self-esteem and it is a pleasure to watch students’ progress,” she said.

“I’m very excited about the Relocation of Razzmataz and would like to invite children to come along and give our performing arts day a try.

“Regardless of their experience, the open day is for all children who think they would like to meet new friends and learn a new skill.”
