Bristol Water have announced that they are doing work in the Sodbury area this week.
The company are 'flushing' in Chipping Sodbury and have warned residents in the area not to be alarmed if there is a slight drop in pressure.
On their Twitter page, the company said: "This week, we are flushing in Westbury, Chipping Sodbury, Portishead, Keynsham and Totterdown so if at any point you notice a drop in your pressure then this will most likely be the reason.
"We apologise if this causes any inconvenience, thank you."
This follows on from a burst water main on Wickwar Road in November that left nearly 250 homes without water.
Supplies of bottled water were delivered to those affected by Bristol Water at the time.
