Police have confirmed that there has been a number of vehicle break-ins across Yate and Chipping Sodbury.
Last week the Gazette reported on a popular wood carver who had over £5000 worth of chainsaws stolen from his van over the festive period.
Other vans in the area were also targeted on the same evening.
Today Avon and Somerset Police in Yate and Chipping Sodbury have released a statement, warning people to make sure there vehicles are secure.
"There have been numerous thefts from vehicles, to insecure vehicles in the Yate area recently.
"Please ensure you remain extra vigilant and ensure you have securely locked your vehicle."
There is still an appeal for any information regarding the chainsaws being stolen, anybody with information should contact 101 and give the call handler the reference number 5219000486.
