STROUD District Council's Local Plan was one of the items on the agenda at this week's Dursley Town Council planning committee.
The Tuesday night gathering was well attended, with some members of the public speaking out against proposals to build on land between Ganzell Lane and Uley Road, which are included in the plan.
Later in the proceedings, the committee discussed its official response to Stroud planners and it was unanimously agreed to strongly object to the inclusion of the Ganzell Lane and Uley Road site, known as site PS29, in the Local Plan.
Public consultation about the plan ends tomorrow (Friday).
