This week’s colossal defeat for the government on Brexit may look like a surprise, but actually reflects current public opinion.
The biggest survey yet on Brexit (done by YouGov over Christmas) showed that 63 per cent of the public wanted to stay in the EU, while 37 per cent preferred the deal on offer.
Luke Hall is still behind the curve on this, he voted for the government’s deal.
