A group raising money for the redevelopment of The Armstrong Hall has received a new year revamp.
Joan Hawkins, Daphne Ashton and Barbara Ray have helped raise more than £100,000 for the arts venue by holding charity concerts and drama events.
Now they have been joined by others, including Mayor of Thornbury, Councillor Shirley Holloway, in the newly named Armstrong Arts Group.
The new group came together at a concert at the Cossham Hall on January 12 where young folk band Wriggle Jigglers performed.
The Armstrong Arts Group, will be holding events throughout the year, starting on February 9 with a concert by the Rockhampton Wind Ensemble.
This will be followed by Thornbury Jazz Festival on March 23 and a lecture on Women in Art by expert Lynne Gibson on April 13.
