A FOOTBALL match has been cancelled in Wotton this afternoon, after vandals damaged the pitch.
Wotton Rovers were due to play Nailsworth based team, the Taverners, at Synwell Playing Field.
But last night, at around 10pm, a car drove around on the pitch, causing damage at the goalmouth and penalty area.
Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call the police on 101.
