A lunar extravaganza known as a 'super blood wolf moon' appeared over Gloucestershire and beyond last night and into the morning.
Stargazers were treated to a lunar eclipse, with the moon bigger and brighter than usual because it was closer to the Earth.
It also gave off a reddish glow as it slipped into the Earth's shadow.
Full moons in January are known as 'wolf moons' because wolves used to howl in hunger outside villages at this time of year.
