A LEISURE centre has thanked its customers for their patience after vital maintenance work took place throughout the festive period.

The main hall in Yate Leisure Centre was closed from early December right up until after Christmas.

The floor of the hall was completely re-surfaced after the numerous activities and classes repeatedly damaged area.

Users were left annoyed as the closure was during one of the busiest times of the year.

The centre manager has now come forward and thanked all of the members for their patience whilst the work was taking place.

“We’re committed to offering the best facilities to our customers and this essential maintenance work to the main hall will ensure that we continue to do so," manager Andy Robinson said.

"I would like to thank our customers for being patient throughout the process and hope they continue to enjoy the refurbished hall.

“As a not for profit organisation, we’re committed to reinvesting money back into Active Lifestyle Centres across South Gloucestershire."

"This means responding to demand and offering our customers a first-class lifestyle experience.”
