THE panto season is in full swing in Dursley this week, with performances of Robin Hood set to keep audiences entertained until Saturday.
Dursley Operatic and Dramatic Society’s latest production, which is being staged at the Chantry Centre, saw sell-out matinee performances when it opened at the weekend.
“It’s a fantastic show,” said cast member Calum Sharp.
“We pride ourselves on working very hard to make a high quality production.”
Calum is playing a dame - Maid Marion’s nurse - in the panto.
“It can be quite difficult to get out of character,” he said.
“There have been times when I’ve been at work and I’ve dropped something and then I’ve said a saucy ‘Oooh’ in my dame voice.
“And I then I’ve had to follow that with ‘Sorry, I’m in character’.”
Performances continue until Saturday. Tickets available via: the-dods.com/sgiw/robin-hood/
