IN the game of the day between leaders Lebeq United and third-place Stonehouse Town it turned out to be bit of a damp squib as far as chances were concerned.
The home side lost the services of Fabian McCarthy on 32 minutes and although they still played some good approach football, they were unable to break down a very stubborn Stonehouse defence. The visitors were also at a loss to make a break through and a point apiece is probably right for the game.
Stonehouse travel to Hanham Athletic on Saturday in the second round of the Les James cup, 2pm.
