A £5,000 reward has been offered for help catching a wanted man after a shotgun was fired at a woman and child.

Thomas Wall, 32, is wanted on suspicion of attempted murder after the shot was fired at the 37-year-old woman and an eight-year-old child at around 8am on December 29.

Wall - who is a member of the Traveller community - allegedly fled the scene and remains on the run.

The incident happened at Smithy Fen, Cambs., where a Travellers' site is located.

He is also wanted for breaching a court bail order in connection with a charge of domestic violence on his ex-partner.

The cash has been offered by the charity Crimestoppers.
