POLICE have issued these pictures to show how lorry they stopped was dangerously overloaded.
One picture shows the laden vehicle, the other the number of packages that needed to be taken off to make it safe.
The lorry was stopped in Leominster yesterday [Saturday] and checked on a weighbridge.
It was found to be a tonne over its legal weight.
The Department of Transport warns that an overloaded vehicle not only damages itself and the roads but also puts the driver and other road users at risk.
Vehicles react differently when the maximum weights which they are designed to carry are exceeded, and the consequences can be fatal.
