The return of Stroud's much-loved Vegan Fair attracted a huge number of foodies and traders alike.

It took place on Saturday, January 26 and saw thousands of visitors who enjoyed a fantastic programme of engaging and educational talks, that took place throughout the day.

Daisy Botha, organiser of Stroud Vegan Fair, hailed the success of this year's event.

"We had 35 different traders on Saturday which is a fantastic turnout," Daisy explained.

"There were also panel discussions on effective forms of activism throughout the day, I think that's a sign of how far we've come.

"I'd also like to give a big thank you to Ecotricty and Pulsin for supporting the event."

Stalls featured everything from cruelty-free cosmetics and ethical clothes to household brands.

The third event, which saw dozens of companies and organisations, exceeded all expectations as foodies flocked to sample the meat-free products on offer.

Crowds poured into the historic venue to sample delicious vegan food and browse through vegan products lovingly made by independent producers.

Chloe O’Connell, who joined Stroud for the celebrations, cycled outside The Subscription Rooms to raise money for Veganuary.

"I've been cycling outside to raise money for Veganuary, it's a charity that is really close to my heart - they promote veganism as a lifestyle," said Chloe.

"People normally stick with it because they realise how great it is once they start."

Talks featured a panel discussion on activism, as well as cookery demo's with Jade Crawford, head chef at Forest Green Rovers FC.

Lazy Cat Kitchen also led a talk which looked at teaching the world how to cook vegan.

Other talks looked at how people can transition to a plant-based diet with Casper from Trained Personally and raw chocolate with Jacques Cöp of Cococaravan.

Animal charity, Tree of Life for Animals, also led a discussion entitled growing a tree of life for all with Clara Nowak.

The third Stroud Vegan Fair took place on Saturday, January 26 between 10am and 3pm at The Subscription Rooms in George Street, Stroud.
