A GROUP which has been bringing smiles to faces across the Stroud Valleys with brightly coloured, cleverly concealed rocks has added the SNJ to its collection of treasures.

Boasting over 100 members the Facebook Group Chalford Rocks hand paint and hide the pretty stones all over the valleys encouraging those that find them to let everyone know where the stones were discovered, before rehiding them for someone else to come across..

Shereen Meanwell, who runs the group with her mum Sahron said that they had both decided that it was time for the paper to have their own rock dedicated to them.

"I run a group on Facebook for painting and hiding rocks called Chalford Rocks, people paint a rock and put the details of our Facebook page on the back," shereen explained.

"Then they hide the rocks somewhere and hope they are found!

"The SNJ has been so lovely sharing and printing photos of my dog poppy - I'm so grateful to you - so I thought I would make this as a thank you to you all there."

The SNJ's very own Chalford Rock will be hidden in a few days time once it's been varnished to be protected from the weather.

It is hoped that anyone who finds the rock will take a picture and let us know - and let's see how far the rock travels.
