Green-fingered growers of all ages and persuasions will flock to the ninth annual Stroud Potato Day on Saturday.
Hundreds of shoppers are expected to pop over to Stroud Farmer’s Market throughout the morning to peruse, buy and celebrate the spud in all its glory.
Dozens of stalls will showcase potatoes of all different shapes and sizes - which are likely to attract both farmers and keen gardeners.
Stroud Community Seed Bank will bring it's third harvest of seeds to distribute to anyone who would like seeds specially adapted to grow in the area.
The event, organised by Transition Stroud and Down to Earth, is aimed at encouraging more people to grow their own food, starting with potatoes.
Stroud Potato Day will take place on Saturday, February 2 from 8.30am to 2pm and everyone is welcome.
