'OFFENSIVE' graffiti has been daubed across the skatepark at Jubilee Playing Fields in Cam.
Staff at Cam Parish Council, which owns the playing fields, off Everside Lane, said they were ‘horrified’ to be notified by a resident that ‘offensive and personal’ writing and images had been painted on the skateboarding ramps.
Police are now looking into the matter and witnesses are being urged to come forward.
“It is the worst case of graffiti ever to have been reported at the skatepark,” said Brian Whatling, chairman of Cam Parish Council.
“The graffiti will shortly be professionally removed, and the unacceptable financial burden placed on the parish council.
“The skatepark is well-used by so many people and it’s unacceptable to have suffered this mindless graffiti vandalism.
“We would urge anyone who has any information about it to get in touch with the police quoting the crime reference number CR/001297/19 or contact the parish council office with any information.”
