Selfless staff members at a furniture company have adapted an autistic boy’s chair for free, and his mother is overjoyed.

Travis Parsons, aged nine, has had the swing-like rattan chair for years and finds it to be calming, although as he grew up it became too small for him.

His mum, Nikki Parsons, said she had been “so desperate to find something”.

“He has gotten bigger, so the stand that I originally bought with the chair was unsafe and kept almost toppling over.

“I spent many hours scouring the internet trying to find an alternative product that would be sturdier for my son, then I came across Bramblecrest, based in Frampton Mansell.”

This find turned out to be a stroke of luck. The company listened carefully over the course of a long conversation to Nikki’s predicament.

She said: “I spoke to a very nice lady at length about the struggles that my son has had over the years, and she told me that she would try to help.”

“When I spoke to the company again, I was completely overwhelmed by Bramblecrest’s kind offer to not only adjust the chair, but also to do it for free.

She explained how her son is now safely and happily swinging on his chair again.

“I want to thank Bramblecrest for everything. They deserve recognition,” she said.
